Can’t-Miss Music Coming to Niagara This March

cpblog1As far as destinations go, Niagara Falls has much to recommend it no matter what time of year it is. The waterfalls are beautiful and impressive whether the weather is a balmy 85 degrees Fahrenheit or a chilly 11 degrees. The wineries are open, festive, and filled with award-winning wines during January’s icewine harvest and June’s release of new vintages.

The games and attractions at Clifton Hill may have somewhat shorter hours during March than they do during August, but the fun is no less palpable, no less entertaining, and the best the world has to offer in music comes through to perform just as often during March as it does in July.

If you’re considering taking a trip to Niagara during March this year, the music is poised to be fine. Here are three different acts all slated to take the stage at the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort during the month of March.

Hacken Lee

A Cantopop phenom from Hong Kong, Hacken Lee is a singer, lyricist, TV host, sportscaster, and actor known for his crystal clear tenor voice and his ability to captivate and entertain audiences around the world. A performer who has scored hits across four different decades, Lee is one of the most celebrated Cantonese vocalists of all time.

His performances on March 20th and March 21st will showcase some of the best in popular Cantonese music, and some of the best from his personal repertoire as well. Tickets start at $95 for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience one of the world’s most popular genres of music performed by one its biggest stars.

Duran Duran

Known for a crush of still-popular 80s hits, as well as being Princess Diana’s favorite band, Duran Duran will be coming to the Fallsview Casino Resort’s 1,500-seat Avalon Ballroom on March 25th and 26th at 8 p.m. During the rise and reign of New Wave and the Second British Invasion, Duran Duran enjoyed a string of massive hits with songs like “Rio,” “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “The Wild Boys,” and “The Reflex.”

The band is currently on tour to promote their 14th studio album, “Paper Gods.” Tickets are on sale starting at $125.

Steven Tyler

cpblog2The quintessential rock and roller, Steven Tyler is most famous for the band he’s fronted for four decades: Aerosmith. With hits like “Sweet Emotion,” “Dude (Looks Like a Lady),” “Rag Doll,” “Love in an Elevator,” “Amazing,” “Walk This Way,” and many more, Tyler and Aerosmith are well-known and well-loved staples of American rock and roll.

These days find Tyler branching out into a new genre with a solo country music record that’s slated to be released this year. It’s the music off of this new record, plus all his hits from the last four decades, that he’ll be performing with the band Loving Mary when he plays the Avalon Ballroom on March 29th and March 31st at 8:30 p.m. Tickets start at $125 for this rare treat to see a true legend performing in an intimate setting.

Get your music fix when you travel to Niagara. Whether you love rock and roll singers crooning country songs, Cantonese pop music, or the best in New Wave, Niagara Falls will host some unbeatable shows this March.
